Mini-course Paper Guidelines All of you have at some point in your life experienced events that happened in sports that could be described as a “magical moment”. For this assignment I would like you guys to recall an event that you witnessed on TV or a personal experience and analyze it the same way we have been in class. If you want you could also describe a specific player who is known for achieving optimal performance and extreme focus. Think about this experience or athlete in both bio-psychological and psychological ways. I would like you to first describe the experience or person in detail and then connect it to these things we learned in class. You may have to do some extra research about concepts to fully talk about it. If you do so, cite the source in which you got the information in some way shape or form. After you describe the person or experience, talk about how the two spheres (bio-psychological and psychological) and talk about how this person or experience differs from the norm. So in a way: Why was the experience or person so great in terms of these two topics? What separates this athlete from other athletes psychologically? In terms of the situation, What about the situation caused the athlete to achieve optimum performance? You do not have to talk exactly about what we talked about in class, you can add other concept you find yourself…just cite them! The length of the paper should be 3-5 pages.
