However,the employment relationship is more stable and longer term than that between the buyer and seller of a commodity such as a house or piece of equipment or furniture.In these activities,the buyers and sellers engage in a one-off and immediate exchange relationship.The parties involved in the labour market,on the other hand,are entering what is expected to be a long-term relationship with terms they review periodically and amend if appropriate. In short,a particular feature of ER is that it has a future. Moreover,ER aims to identify and pursue areas of common interest so as to maintain the business organisation.

However,the significance of the relation between employer and employee in ER will be stressed to analyse.

Firstly,a wholesome ER is an influential way to make the human affairs come to fulfilment,which can enhance the efficiency of working and bring more profit for a company.

Then,the corporate culture,forming with ER,can inspire the employees' fighting will and stimulate the talent people who have the ability and responsibility to their work.As we know, this corporate culture contains enterprising spirit,credibility,cooperation and creation,etc,which stimulate the employees to enhance themselves.

Thirdly,the relations between company management and employees can have a profound effect on the success of a business. These relations include conflict resolution techniques and providing workers with a positive workplace identity. A healthy ER can help an organization avoid conflicts and increase a sense of teamwork on the job for employees.

Maintaining healthy ER in an enterprise is a pre-requisite for its success. Strong ER are required for high productivity and human satisfaction. ER generally deal with avoiding and resolving issues concerning individuals which might arise out of or influence the work scenario. Strong ER depends upon healthy and safe work environment, cent percent involvement and commitment of all employees, incentives for employees' motivation, and effective communication system in the organization.

In brief,a healthy ER lead to more efficient, motivated and productive employees which further lead to increase in sales level,which is significant to an enterprise management.

The employee relations management is one of the most essential functional department in EM.A healthy ER can make the employees get the satisfcation,which is beneficial to improving their motivation and implementing the strategies efficiently. As we can see,ER is the key influence on the result of the EM.Therefore,it is should be paid more attention.More specifically,how to build a healthy ER in EM?

According to Maslow's hierarchy of needs, the most basic level of needs must be met before the individual will strongly desire (or focus motivation upon) the secondary or higher level needs.Therefore,the enterprise should give adequate trust,understanding,respect and support to their staff.Thus,it is useful to improve the efficiency.

The participation of employees and the mutual communication are also beneficial to build a healthy ER.From some cases,the basic reason of the failure about the strategic decision stems from that the employees didn't accept the enterprise's scheme.Therefore,it is significant for them to participate in making a strategic decision,which is more possible to encourage the employees to accept.

Then,the manager's management qualities and skills are also essential to build a good ER.As a successful manager,the specialized skills,communication and conceptual design skills should be acquire at least.According to the management practices,this three factors are increasingly important with the progress of the management.Therefore,they should enhance these three elements,which can grasp the employees characteristics adequately and assess their work objectively.

For another,a good ER needs communication.It is a golden way to solve problems when the quarrel and conflict occur between employees and employees,even in employees and employer.More precisely,there are several means of communication,such as formal written,periodical meeting,publishing internal journal and establishing committee.For instance,as a successful enterprise,IBM has its own idea on interaction management.IBM laid out ten policies for communication.Before the communication,light on the concept,then explain the purpose of the communication,and inspect the environment of communication.The fourth is listen to others opinions.Next is speaking in a friendly tone.Then,pass the useful material and investigate and make a self-criticism.Lastly,consider now and future and be a good listener.It encouraged the employees to express their true thoughts.It made IBM be a vitality company.What's more,keep them updated about company�s policies, procedures and decisions.And make them well-informed which make them sound decisions and will remain motivated and productive. Also, they will feel as a member of organizational family in this manner.It is a good way to strengthen the mutual understanding and trust.As a result,it can better get the goal.

Above all,there is necessary to give attention to details when face ER.The manager of an enterprise should lay stress on the details of the management when deal with ER.They should give enough space to their employees.Take Wal-Mart for example,Wal-Mart is one of the top star company in the world which used to be a grocery store.Its success can hardly do without the incentive mechanism.Wal-Mart devoted itself to build the fellowship with the employees,this concept encouraged the employees,which made big profit and the king of retail trading in global world.

Moreover,give the employees competitive salary. They should be fairly paid for their talents, skills and competencies.Even,the employee has expectation of fair and just treatment by the management. Thus, the management must treat all employees as individuals and must treat them in a fair manner. Employee favoritism should be avoided.
